Pattern Instructions

Multiple of 5 + 1 edge stitch on each side.
Note: A full pattern repeat requires a minimum of 12 sts.

Row 1: (RS): K1 (edge), *K3, K2tog, yo *; repeat *to* last st, K1 (edge).

2nd and every alternate row: Purl all sts (including increases)

Row 3: K1 (edge), K2, K2tog, yo; *K3, K2tog, yo * to last 2 sts, K1, then K1 (edge).
Row 5: K1 (edge), K1, K2tog, yo; *K3, K2tog, yo * to  to last 3 sts, K2, then K1 (edge).
Row 7: K1 (edge), K2tog, yo; *K3, K2tog, yo * to last 4 sts, K3, then K1 (edge).
Row 9: K2tog (at the beginning of the row, knit the edge st end the following st together), yo; *K3, K2tog, yo * to last 5 sts, K4, then K1 (edge).

Repeat rows 1 to 10 to form pattern.
