Christmas Stocking

A few years back, I completed this festive stocking for Lana, the great-granddaughter of our friend Elli. I'm sharing it because it's never too soon to knit Christmas stockings.
I utilized a standard sock pattern, employing large needles and worsted 10-ply yarn. I crafted an I-cord and embellished the stocking with ornaments. The name was intricately knitted (using the intarsia technique) into the sock. I began the sock with a toe-up cast-off, incorporating an I-cord, and concluded it with an I-cord loop.
